To travel is to be passionate about people, about history, about places, about culture, about food, about discovery and adventure. To travel is to be passionate about life.

I really love traveling because it’s a chance to discover new places; to do crazy things because more likely than not, no one knows you in that new place; meet new people who grew up in a different world and have different traditions.I’m not sure when the transformation from just traveling to flying on a magic carpet happened but here’s my take on passion and traveling. I guess it’s because traveling for me is a magical experience. Every time is an adventure waiting to happen.

Doodled on my Moleskine while waiting. Took a photo and desaturated it on Photoshop.

She’s done. I’m not quite sure how to feel about her but I think she’s good enough for a first-in-a-really-long-time drawing. She has freckles!
What do you think?

I want to cry!!! I still can’t do good poses to save my life but I think I’m going to be okay with doing girl’s heads for a while.

Every Thursday, I meet up with friends to talk about comics, hoping to learn new things. We also plan projects together so we can make ashcans and hopefully earn money from selling them at cons.
Our current project is called The Exquisite Corpse (in comics form of course). The Exquisite Corpse is basically a method of creating a creative piece of work by assembling parts (pictures or words, or in this case, comics pages) by different people. The catch is you only see the part that was done before you. So for us, page 1 can only be seen by the person doing page 2, and page 2 can only be seen by the person doing page 3 and so on. We can only see the finished product when the last page is done.
I think, so far, we have around 12 stories going since there were around 12 of us when we started. Each person had to do a page 1. The greatest challenge is doing something awesome with only little knowledge of how the story started to work on.
This is my page 2 of Rob’s page 1. And click on this to see my page 1. On to page 3.

For rainingcats, baby bear and his porridge-eating ways.
I’m catching up on trades, albeit rather slowly. Hope you like it!
