Quiet Girl ft. Fika Fika Fika Christmas Giveaway

Yes, you read that right! Quiet Girl is holding a giveaway featuring items from  Philippine-based crafts store, Fika Fika Fika. I’ve always been in search for local independent crafts stores to promote on my blog. In this highly digitized and fast-paced society, arts and crafts and everything intricately made and written isn’t as much paid attention to as before. I like holding giveaways such as these to remind you to appreciate the little things in life and to remember what is heartfelt. Remember the days when you used to receive letters in the mail, colorful fragrant stationery from your seat mate, and the days when you took time to gather little items and trinkets for your friends and loved ones.

Quiet Girl and my tumblr have been around for over a year and for that, I’d like to thank all those who have been following my work and my online pages. In gratitude, I present to you this giveaway.

I don’t always join contests because of some reason or another but if it’s as good as this, how can I resist? I really admire Valerie Chua’s work and talent so it would be so amazing to win something from her. Plus it’s a tie-up with AvalonPH where I get my Moleskines too!

And gave my best answer to her question, “What do I do to get my creative juices flowing?” I’m assuming that the “I” and “my” refers to me because if it actually referred to Val, then I’m not sure what to say.

I try to find inspiration in everything around me but two things that really get my creative juices flowing are bouncing ideas back and forth when I’m with my friends and just sitting down and testing out new materials and programs.

A close second would be traveling because there’s nothing like visiting a different place or a new place to give you a new perspective on things.

Did I do everything? I think I did. Now, all I have to do is cross my fingers. And if any of my friends win, I hope they share their blessings LOL.
